About Ladela Schools
At Ladela schools, we offer Nursery, Primary and Secondary education. It is accredited by the Education Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory and was selected as the Best Private Secondary School in 2006. Our school is a co-educational institution and caters for both day and boarding students.
Education at Ladela Schools is designed to develop the total student (spiritually, mentally, physically and socially viz). Our focus is on character and learning. As students develop into adulthood they will be assisted in their personal growth and development by establishing positive relationships within and outside the school. At Ladela Schools, we believe that students perform better if their studies provide a balance between the physical and mental. To this end, we have designed our curriculum to provide stimulating outdoor activities such as a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities including sports and entrepreneurship skills. These activities provide refreshed and active minds for more academic pursuits.
Again, while at Ladela, students are prepared for both local and international examinations. Students are deliberately engaged in reasonable number of Experiential Learning opportunities which include on the job practical skill training based on the professions they want to pursue at the tertiary level. This means our students learn practical employability skills in order to become contributing members of the larger society.
We offer core subjects (English, Mathematics and Sciences) as well as a wide selection of life skills programs viz. Home Economics, Photography, Garment Making. Supports for our pupils/students are many and they come from both governmental and non-governmental organizations such as the Embassy of the United States of America, The British Council, the Education Secretariat of the FCT Administration, The School Resource Centre. The school is also a member of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) and the Association of Private Educators in Nigeria (APEN).
We are aware of the challenges that face our students today. Our staff and students take the Six Pillars of Character with religious zeal. The “Golden Rule” of treat others as you like to be treated is the basis for social interaction in the school. Tolerance, acceptance of differences and genuine care and concern for each other are paramount to good citizenship. Please be reminded thus: At Ladela Schools, EVERY CHILD MATTERS AND ALWAYS! I remain optimistic that you will enjoy getting to know our school better via our website. If you feel Ladela offers what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact the school. Thank you for taking time to read this piece from me.
